OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 6 next month on May 7, expanding its Nord 6 series. The smartphone will break cover alongside the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite. The company has started teasing the smartphones online for promotion and already revealed key specs and design. Today, the Chinese brand officially confirmed the camera specifications and the OS the device will ship with. The device will come in three colour options: Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black and will go on sale from Amazon.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 specs and features
OnePlus Nord CE 6 is confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel main rear camera with dual-axis OIS. On the front, it will house a 32-megapixel sensor, marking a notable upgrade over its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord CE 5, which offers a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera comes with support for 4K Ultra HD recording.
OnePlus further revealed that the smartphone will run on an Android-based OxygenOS 16. It will come with dual stereo speakers with up to 300 present Ultra Volume.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 will come with a 6.78-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with Touch Reflex technology for smoother gaming. The device is claimed to support up to 144 FPS gameplay and offers a highly responsive 3200Hz touch sampling rate. It also includes a large vapour chamber with over 33,000 mm of cooling area to manage heat efficiently.
The smartphone packs a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. OnePlus claims it can last over 2.5 days on a single charge, while retaining up to 80 per cent battery health even after six years of use.
For durability, the device comes with multiple IP ratings, including IP66, IP68, and IP69, along with IP69K protection. It is also claimed to have passed rigorous MIL-STD-810H testing.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite features a vertical, pill-shaped camera module with three cutouts on the rear. The company has confirmed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and pack a large 7,000mAh battery, paired with a 144Hz display. It is claimed to deliver up to two days of battery life while maintaining battery health for as long as six years. The handset will be offered in black and light green colour options.
