Akshay Kumar is once again proving his mettle at the box office with his latest film, Bhooth Bangla. The movie has gained decent traction worldwide, emerging as the third highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year within just six days of its release. Directed by Priyadarshan, the horror-comedy has grossed Rs 118 crore globally, making it the sixth-biggest Indian film in terms of global earnings this year.
In a remarkable feat, Bhooth Bangla has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo, which grossed around Rs 110 crore globally. The film’s impressive box office performance is reflected in its day-wise earnings in India, with a nett collection of Rs 78.90 crore over six days.

In India, Bhooth Bangla has grossed Rs 93.87 crore, while its overseas earnings stand at Rs 33.50 crore. The film now ranks just behind Border 2 and Dhurandhar: The Revenge on the list of highest-grossing Indian films globally this year.
Although the film has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, it has managed to capture significant attention. However, it might struggle to surpass the earnings of Border 2. The Sunny Deol starrer war drama ended its run at a solid Rs 450.20 crore gross worldwide.
This film marks a reunion between Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after 14 years. The cast of Bhooth Bangla also includes the late Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Jisshu Sengupta, and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles, adding to the film’s appeal.
