Poco C81 launched in India, budget phone with 120Hz display and 6,300mAh battery

Poco C81 launched today in India alongside the Poco X81x, adding to the company’s latest budget lineup. Both of the devices have almost similar specs and features. While the Poco C81 ships with a 6.9-inch panel, the Poco X81x features a 6.88-inch display. Both devices are available in multiple colours and will go on sale via Flipkart on April 27.

Poco C81, Poco C81x specs and features

The Poco C81 features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 800 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the Poco C81x comes with a slightly smaller 6.88-inch HD+ display, offering up to a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 650 nits peak brightness. Both smartphones carry TV Rheinland Low Blue Light.

Under the hood, both models are powered by an octa-core Unisoc T7250 chipset, paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU. They come with LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.

For optics, the Poco C81 sports a dual rear camera setup led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor along with a secondary lens. In contrast, the Poco C81x features a single 13-megapixel rear camera. Both devices are equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls, and support video recording at up to 1080p at 30fps.

In terms of battery, the Poco C81 packs a 6,300mAh unit, while the Poco C81x houses a 5,200mAh battery. Both support 15W wired charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging.

On the software side, the Poco C81 runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3, while the Poco C81x ships with Android 15. The company promises four years of OS updates for the C81 and two years for the C81x, along with six years of security updates for both. Both devices feature side-mounted fingerprint sensors and come with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. The Poco C81 weighs 208g, while the Poco C81x weighs 193g.

The Poco C81 is priced at Rs 10,999 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the Poco C81x is available at Rs 9,999 for its single 3GB RAM and 64GB storage option.

Both smartphones will go on sale in India starting April 27 at 12 pm via Flipkart. The Poco C81 will be available in Elite Black, Ice Blue, and Sunset Gold colour options, while the Poco C81x will be offered in the same colours except for Sunset Gold.
