JEE Main 2026 session 2 application correction window opens tomorrow: Check list of editable fields here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the application correction window for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 on February 27. Candidates who have already submitted their JEE Main Session 2 application form will be able to edit or correct certain details till February 28, 11:50 pm.

The correction facility will be available on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

This one-time opportunity is provided to both fresh candidates who applied only for Session 2 and those candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 and later registered again for Session 2.

Who can use the JEE Main 2026 correction window?

The correction window is open for:

  • Candidates who applied as fresh applicants for JEE Main 2026 Session 2

  • Candidates who appeared in JEE Main 2026 Session 1 and also registered for Session 2

However, the fields that can be edited differ for existing and new candidates.

JEE Main 2026 application correction for existing candidates

Existing candidates are those who:

  • Registered during the Session 1 application period (October 31 to November 27, 2025), and

  • Applied again for Session 2 between February 1 and February 25, 2026

These candidates can edit the following details:

  • Course or paper selected

  • Medium of the question paper

  • State code of eligibility

  • Choice of examination cities (from available options)

  • Class 10 and Class 12 educational details

  • Gender and category

  • Identity details (only if registration was done using an identity proof other than Aadhaar)

  • Fee payment details, if required

Candidates may have to pay an additional correction fee, depending on the changes made.

JEE Main 2026 application correction for new candidates

New candidates are those who:

  • Applied only for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 between February 1 and February 25, 2026

  • Mobile number and email address

  • Permanent and present address

  • Emergency contact details

  • Live or uploaded photograph

  • Candidate’s name or father’s or mother’s name

  • Class 10 and Class 12 educational details

  • State code of eligibility

  • Date of birth

  • Gender, category, sub-category, or PwD status (if not verified through the UDID portal)

  • Signature

  • Paper opted for

  • Based on changes in address details, candidates may also update:

  • Examination city choice

  • Medium of examination

Identity details can be corrected only if the candidate registered using an identity proof other than Aadhaar.

What happens after the correction window closes?

Once the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 correction window closes, NTA will release the advance city intimation slip, and JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card.

These documents will mention the exam date, shift timing, and the allotted exam city and centre. Candidates are advised to carefully check all details and plan travel in advance, especially if the exam centre is outside their city.

Candidates should make corrections carefully, as no further chance to edit the application form will be given after the deadline.
