I’m winning war by a lot: Trump claims amid uncertainty over Iran talks in Pakistan

US President Donald Trump has claimed that he is “winning a War, BY A LOT” against Iran, even as uncertainty surrounds a fresh round of negotiations expected to take place in Pakistan.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said “things are going very well” and praised the US military as “amazing”, while sharply criticising American media outlets. He accused publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post of misrepresenting the situation.

“The blockade, which we will not take off until there is a ‘DEAL,’ is absolutely destroying Iran,” Trump said, claiming Tehran was losing “$500 Million Dollars a day”, without providing evidence.

The remarks come as a US delegation is travelling to Pakistan for the second round of direct talks with Iran. However, Tehran has not confirmed its participation, casting doubt over whether the negotiations will proceed.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has raised concerns ahead of the talks, telling Pakistan’s Ishaq Dar that US actions against Iranian shipping are “clear signs” of bad faith. Iran has imposed restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz since the conflict began on February 28, while the US continues a naval blockade of Iranian ports.
