The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has postponed the Group D recruitment examination due to administrative reasons. The board said the decision was taken to ensure smooth conduct of the test. Candidates who were preparing for the exam will now have to wait for a fresh schedule. The Group D exam is conducted to fill various posts in different departments of the Punjab government. Thousands of candidates across the state were expected to appear for the examination.

PSSSB Group D exam postponed due to administrative reasons

PSSSB issued a short notice informing candidates that the Group D written examination stands postponed. The board did not share detailed reasons but stated that the delay is due to administrative issues.

Officials said the decision was necessary to avoid inconvenience on the exam day. The board assured candidates that a new date will be announced after reviewing the situation. The examination will be conducted as per the same pattern and syllabus mentioned in the earlier notification.

Candidates do not need to submit fresh applications. Their previously issued admit cards, if any, will be updated or reissued as required.

New exam date to be announced soon

The board confirmed that the revised examination schedule will be published shortly on the official PSSSB website. Candidates must rely only on official updates and avoid rumours circulating on social media.

Once the new date is announced, fresh admit cards will be made available online. Applicants will be able to download them by logging in with their registration details. The notice regarding exam city, reporting time and instructions will also be issued again.

What candidates should do now

Aspirants are advised to continue their preparation without panic. Since the syllabus and exam pattern remain unchanged, this extra time can be used for revision and mock tests.

Candidates should keep their registration number and password ready for future updates. They must also ensure that their contact details are correct in case the board sends any official communication.

The PSSSB Group D recruitment drive aims to fill multiple vacancies across departments. Further details regarding the new examination date are expected soon.
