Rajpal Yadav and wife Radha Yadav express gratitude amid industry support in cheque bounce case: ‘We are thankful for every gesture’

Rajpal Yadav and his wife Radha Yadav have spoken about the challenging weeks following his interim bail in the Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case. The actor walked out of Tihar Jail on February 17 and soon after travelled to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh with Radha, opting to stay close to family as the legal process continues.

While the matter remains before the court, the couple said they are dealing with it patiently and respectfully.

‘The most difficult part was being away from my family’

Opening up about his time in jail, the actor admitted that separation from loved ones weighed on him the most. “The most difficult part was being away from my family. Beyond that, I accepted the routine. I would wake up early and focus on breathing exercises and maintaining mental balance,” Rajpal told Hindustan Times.

On the legal proceedings, he maintained that the matter has always been handled through due process. “This matter has been ongoing for many years. I believed it was right to handle it legally.”

Underlining the same approach, Radha said, “Every possible legal and respectful option was explored. Sometimes resolution is not just about willingness, it also depends on timing,” indicating that the couple is taking the situation step by step.

Family first after release

Rather than making a public appearance, Rajpal chose to attend his niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur immediately after his release — a moment he describes as deeply meaningful. “After my release, I went straight to my niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur and was grateful to be with my family. Being around loved ones in that moment meant a great deal after a difficult phase. ”

Although the couple did not disclose names of industry colleagues who may have offered financial or emotional support, Rajpal was clear about his appreciation.

“I am grateful for the love and goodwill I have received. What stayed with me most during this phase was the faith of people: audiences, colleagues, and well-wishers. For someone like me, respect, time, and being heard matter more than anything else. ”

Radha added, “Support, when it comes, is received with gratitude. Many people reached out with concern and encouragement. We are thankful for every gesture, whether public or private.”

Respecting the court, returning to work

As the case proceeds, Rajpal maintained that he will continue to comply with all legal directions. “I will continue to respect the court and comply with every direction. I have maintained the same stand from the beginning and will allow the legal process to take its course. ”

While he admitted that the episode has temporarily affected his shooting schedules, he remained optimistic about returning to the sets. “Work schedules may fluctuate temporarily but I will resume work gradually and responsibly. Acting has been my life for many years, and I remain committed to it.”
