Apple said to launch 12 devices this year: iPhone 18 Pro, iPad Air, and more

Apple may have already packed the first half of the year with multiple launches, but the bigger story is still ahead. Some leaks suggest that the company is preparing a much heavier rollout in the coming months, with nearly a dozen devices expected before the year ends. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the scale of products being talked about gives a clear hint that Apple is not slowing down anytime soon. From iPhones and iPads to Macs and wearables, the company appears to be lining up upgrades across almost every category it operates in, along with a few completely new additions that could expand its ecosystem further.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max launch likely in 4 months

At the centre of all this attention is the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, which is expected to headline Apple’s next big launch cycle. Early details suggest that both the Pro and Pro Max variants could bring visible changes, especially in design and camera hardware. Apple is reportedly working on moving Face ID components under the display, which could result in a cleaner front look. If this happens, the Dynamic Island may shrink further or disappear altogether, leaving only a small cutout for the front camera. This change could give users a more immersive screen experience compared to current models.

Camera improvements are also expected to play a big role. The Pro models are said to feature a variable aperture system, allowing better control over lighting and depth while taking photos. There are also talks of a new sensor that could improve low-light photography, which has been a key focus area for Apple in recent years. Powering these devices could be a new A20 Pro chip, which is likely to bring better performance and efficiency, along with stronger support for on-device AI features. The Pro Max model may also pack a larger battery, though that could come with a slightly thicker body.

Apple is said to launch 10 more devices this year: Full list (leaked)

Beyond the Pro models, Apple’s iPhone roadmap could see a major addition in the form of a foldable device. Often referred to as the iPhone Fold, this device is expected to feature a large inner display and a secondary outer screen. The focus here is likely to be on multitasking, with software optimisations designed to take advantage of the foldable form factor. Reports suggest that the device could debut in limited quantities and carry a premium price tag, placing it in a new category within Apple’s lineup.

The iPad portfolio is also expected to see updates. A new base iPad could arrive with an upgraded chipset, possibly from the A18 or A19 family, bringing support for Apple Intelligence features. The next iPad mini, on the other hand, could be a more noticeable upgrade. It is expected to feature an OLED display, improved durability, and a newer processor. If this happens, it would be the second iPad to adopt OLED technology after the Pro lineup, making it a meaningful step forward for the compact tablet.

Interestingly, the iPad Air has already been refreshed recently with the M4 chip, which means buyers looking for an upgrade may not need to wait further in that segment. Meanwhile, the iPad Pro lineup is expected to remain unchanged for now, with its next major update likely pushed to a later timeline.

Mac devices are also part of the expected launch wave. Products like the Mac Studio, Mac mini, and iMac are likely to move to the next-generation M5 chips. These upgrades may not bring dramatic design changes, but they should offer steady improvements in performance and efficiency. Apple is also said to be working on a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED display, although that model could arrive later than the rest of the lineup.

On the wearable side, new versions of the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra are expected. While major design changes may be limited, the focus could be on updated chipsets, which play an important role in long-term performance and software support. There are also early hints that Apple could explore features like Touch ID, although details remain uncertain.

All things considered, the reported lineup paints a picture of a very busy year for Apple. The company has already introduced several products earlier this year, but the leaks suggest that the biggest announcements may still be on the way. While timelines remain unclear and plans could change, the possibility of around 11 to 12 launches indicates that Apple is preparing one of its most packed product cycles in recent times.
