Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Variant-wise features, battery packs explained

Maruti Suzuki India recently launched the new e-Vitara electric SUV in the Indian market. The e-Vitara will be available in three variants – Delta, Zeta and Alpha – and will be offered with two battery pack options – 49 kWh and 60 kWh. Owners will receive free charging of up to 1,000 units or for a period of one year, whichever is earlier, at Maruti Suzuki dealership charging points, accessible via the ‘e for me’ app. The company is also offering a complimentary 7. 4 kW AC charger with free installation.

Interested customers can pre-book the EV online or at their nearest dealership. The booking amount is set at Rs 21,000, and deliveries are expected to begin soon.

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara competes with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, Vinfast VF6 and upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella. In this article, let’s take a look at variant-wise features with prices.

So note that while Maruti Suzuki has not officially disclosed the complete price list for all three variants of the new e-Vitara, reports circulating on social media suggest that the full pricing for customers opting out of the BaaS model has surfaced through what appears to be a dealership-level document, detailing prices including the cost of a home charger and installation.

However, official confirmation from Maruti Suzuki is still awaited.

The entry-level Delta trim gets single 49 kWh battery pack option and gets features such as as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four speakers, LED headlamps with DRLs, ambient lighting, multiple drive modes including a snow mode, automatic climate control with an air purifier and rear AC vents, automatic headlamps, all power windows with one-touch up and down function, keyless entry and start, steering-mounted controls, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, a rear wiper and washer, a full-size spare wheel, a shark-fin antenna, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, front and rear armrests, reclining and sliding rear seats, a passenger-side seatback pocket, fabric upholstery, USB charging ports, seven airbags, a day/night IRVM, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, front and rear parking sensors, a rear defogger and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Next comes in mid-spec Delta trim and additionally features a luggage shelf, a rear parking camera and a wireless phone charger pad.

Customers can opt for dual-tone colour option at an additional cost of Rs 22,000.

Next comes in top-of-the-line Alpha, which gets all the features mentioned in Delta and Zeta. Additionally, it gets automatic headlamp levelling, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a single-pane fixed glass roof, a powered driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and a JBL sound system.
