OnePlus Pad 4 announced, coming to India on April 30

OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Pad 4 in India on April 30. The Chinese smartphone maker has already begun teasing the device online, with dedicated microsites on Amazon and Flipkart hinting at its availability while also revealing key specifications and design details. The upcoming tablet will succeed the OnePlus Pad 3, which launched in June last year. Until the specifications are officially confirmed, OnePlus appears to be positioning the new Pad as a modest upgrade, particularly in terms of battery and chipset. The OnePlus Pad 4 will be available in two colour options: Dune Glow and Sage Mist.

OnePlus Pad 4 design, specs and features

The OnePlus Pad 4 features a metal unibody design, with a pill-shaped camera module positioned at the top-left corner, housing a sensor and an LED flash. In terms of design, it closely resembles the OnePlus Pad 3. The key difference lies in the placement of the three-dot connector—on the Pad 3, it is located at the bottom, whereas on the Pad 4, it has been shifted to the top-right.

The OnePlus Pad 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while the Pad 3 features the slightly older Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage, achieving an AnTuTu score of over 4.1 million.

To fuel the Pad 3, a massive 13,380mAh battery is packed inside with 80W SUPERVOOC charging support — a notable step up from its predecessor’s 12,140 mAh cell, while the charging speed remains the same.

In terms of display, the tablet features a 13.2-inch 3.4K display with a 144 Hz refresh rate.

For context, the OnePlus Pad 3 sports a large 13.2-inch IPS LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 900 nits.

On the camera front, the Pad 3 hosts a single 13 MP main shooter accompanied by a colour spectrum sensor and LED flash. For video calls and selfies, there is an 8 MP front camera.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Pad 3 is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. The tablet is available in two memory configurations — 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage — both using the fast UFS 4.0 standard. Keeping the lights on is a sizeable 12,140 mAh battery with 80W wired SUPERVOOC charging support.
