In an inspiring story of discipline, consistency, and family support, Chandigarh’s Aarush Singhal has secured an exceptional All India Rank (AIR) 8 in JEE Main 2026 with a perfect 100 percentile.
His achievement proves that success in one of India’s toughest exams does not always come from pressure, but from smart preparation, determination, and a positive environment.
WHO IS AARUSH SINGHAL, AND WHAT MAKES HIS SUCCESS SPECIAL?
Aarush Singhal, a resident of Sector 37, Chandigarh, is a student of Sri Chaitanya Institute’s six-year classroom programme and studies at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27. He joined the institute in Class 7 with a clear dream of reaching IIT Bombay.
Along with school and coaching, Aarush followed a disciplined routine of studying 6–7 hours daily with consistency and focus.
Several students from the Tricity region delivered remarkable performances:
- Arnav Gandhi secured 100 percentile and AIR 22, emerging as the Haryana topper
- Nishkarsh Verma scored 99.999 percentile with AIR 46
- Yajat Singhal secured 99.996 percentile with AIR 100.

DID FAMILY PRESSURE PLAY ANY ROLE IN AARUSH’S JOURNEY?
Aarush’s parents say absolutely not.
His mother, Malti Singhal, is a homemaker, while his father, Nakul Singhal, works in an IT company in Chandigarh. The family shared that they never pressured Aarush regarding studies or IIT admissions. According to them, his success is purely the result of hard work, dedication, and self-motivation.
They added that Aarush is currently visiting the Sri Chaitanya head office in Hyderabad, and the family plans to celebrate his achievement once he returns.
Aarush also has a younger brother, currently studying in Class 9 in Chandigarh, who is already preparing for IIT. This reflects the academic spirit within the family.
