‘Benny did nothing wrong’: Lauren Boebert after leaking Hillary Clinton’s photo from closed-door Epstein hearing

Hilary Clinton stopped her deposition on Jeffrey Epstein after her photo from the House Oversight Committee was leaked to Conservative commentator Benny Johnson through Republican Rep Lauren Boebert. It was called a potential violation of rules to take and leak the photo of the ex-secretary of state in the middle of her testimony. “The hearing just went off the record for a moment,” a staffer for Clinton told reporters, “which is against chamber rules that were read at the top of the meeting. “

The staffer said Oversight staff were seeking to find out “where the photo came from” and “why possibly members of Congress are violating House rules.”

Boebert defended taking the unauthorized photo of Hillary and said Benny did nothing wrong by posting it. “Benny did nothing wrong. Proceeding with deposition,” Boebert said on her own X account.

“This is insane. The deposition is being filmed. Hillary wanted it to be done LIVE on TV. The entire deposition will be released soon. Rep. Boebert gave me permission to post photo with credit. Hillary is trying to get out of answering questions about Epstein because of a pic!?!” Benny posted.

No new information on Epstein: Never flew on his plane, never visited his island

Hillary Clinton told the commuttee that she has no new information about Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. “I had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island home or offices,” she said in the opening statement, which she posted on X and delivered during a closed-door hearing with lawmakers.

“[Y]ou have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation. in order to distract attention from President [Donald] Trump’s actions and cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers,” she wrote in the statement.

“If this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein’s trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement; it would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he shows up in the Epstein files,” the statement said.

The interview took place in Chappaqua, New York, where the Clintons have a house. The committee will meet with former President Bill Clinton on Friday for a similar deposition.
