Olympic gold queens Chloe Kim and Suni Lee reunite in New York City for a star-studded champion meetup

Just days after the 2026 Winter Olympics ended, Chloe Kim and Suni Lee gave fans a moment they did not expect. The two Olympic champions met in New York City and shared a photo together, and social media quickly lit up. Chloe Kim had just finished competing at the Milan Cortina Winter Games, where she won a silver medal in women’s halfpipe snowboarding.

That medal marked her third Olympic medal overall. While the pressure of competition was behind her, she was back in the United States doing media appearances when she met up with Suni Lee. The photo showed two of Team USA’s biggest stars smiling side by side. Between them, they now hold nine Olympic medals. For fans who have followed both athletes for years, this link-up felt special and personal, not just another celebrity picture.

Chloe Kim and Sunisa “Suni” Lee share Olympic bond during New York meet-up

Chloe Kim, 25, has been one of the most recognized faces in snowboarding since her teenage years. She won gold in the halfpipe at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics and again at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

In Milan Cortina 2026, she added a silver medal to her collection. That brings her total to two gold medals and one silver.

After the Games wrapped up, Kim spent time in snowy New York City.

She was attending events and doing interviews when she crossed paths with Suni Lee.

Sunisa “Suni” Lee is already a household name in gymnastics. She won the all-around gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, along with team silver and uneven bars bronze. Over her Olympic career, Lee has earned six medals, two gold, one silver, and three bronze.

When Kim and Lee posed together, fans quickly noticed the power in that photo. Nine Olympic medals. Two different sports. One shared journey.

Beyond medals, there is something deeper that connects them. Both proudly represent their heritage. Chloe Kim was born in the United States to South Korean immigrant parents.

Suni Lee, born Sunisa Phabsomphou, is of Hmong descent, and her mother immigrated from Laos. Over the years, both athletes have spoken openly about what it means to represent their families and communities on the world stage.

Seeing them together in New York felt like a full-circle moment. The competition may be over, but their impact continues. Instead of focusing on scores or rankings, this time it was about friendship, pride, and enjoying life after the Games. For fans, it was simple. Two champions, one city and a moment worth celebrating.
