Nothing Phone 4a series launching on March 5, it will have Glyph Bar and Qualcomm chip

Nothing is gearing up to launch the Phone 4a series soon. The London-based phonemaker has been teasing the Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro for the past few days. Now, the company has finally given us a glimpse of the new “Glyph Bar,” that makes its debut with the upcoming devices.

The London-based phonemaker shared a thread of X. The thread consists of a video that showcases a machine making the new Glyph Bar. According to Nothing, the new interface comprises nine mini-LEDs that can be individually customised. The caption read, “nine individually controllable mini-LEDs, 40 per cent brighter than previous (a) series.”

What is the Nothing Glyph bar?

From the video, we can spot rectangular mini-LED units lined-up together to comprise one unit. Though the teaser only shows seven LED units instead of nine as stated by Nothing.

Both phones are expected to get 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED panels. However, the Phone 4a Pro may come with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Phone 4a may stick to 120Hz. The Phone 4a series will continue to have triple camera setups. The Phone 4a Pro could get an upgraded 50-megapixel 3.5x periscope telephoto sensor.

The Phone 4a and 4a Pro could also get IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.
