Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1’ enters Rs 100 crore club in Hindi

There seems to be no stopping for Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 when it comes to box office collection. The film has already become the second biggest hit of 2025 beating Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s blockbuster film Saiyaara ( Rs 329. 7 crore) as its total collection now stands at Rs 336. 50 crore.

A closer look at the total collection of the film reveals that the Hindi version of the film along with Kannada version have been the biggest contributor to the film’s overall collection. And at the end of first week- both versions have entered the Rs 100 crore club.

In Hindi , Kantara 2 has become the 92 film in the Rs 100 crore club. The film on its first day earned Rs 18.5 crore, day 2 was at Rs 12.5 crore, day 3 Rs 29.5 crore and day ( Sunday ) was Rs 23 crore.

On Monday ( day 5) collection was Rs 8. 75 crore and on day 6 it was Rs 11. 25 crore , on day 7 the collection dipped to Rs 8. 25 crore and day 8 was at Rs 7 crore. With this the total Hindi collection of the film now stands at Rs 108. 85 crore while Kannada version stands at Rs 106. 6 crore The Telugu version has contributed Rs 63. 4 crore while Tamil version has contributed Rs 31. 25 crore and rest has come from Malayalam. Kantara 2 had clashed with Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar in Hindi markets and it only managed to cross Rs 40 crore mark in 8 days of its release.

The film will start its journey towards Rs 500 crore from this weekend onwards. It also features

Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram and Rakimini Vasanth in pivotal roles, the makers have also announced the third part with the climax of the second part of the series.
