300/300 with no guesswork: Gurugram boy gets 100 percentile in JEE, eyes IIT and MIT

Through hard work, smart strategy, and expert guidance, Kabir Chhillar, a student of Kota coaching institute, Allen Career Institute, achieved a perfect 300 out of 300 in JEE Main session 1.

With the JEE Main Session 2 results declared on April 20, Kabir’s extraordinary feat stands out even more, as he did not feel the need to appear for the second session at all.

Originally from Gurugram in the Delhi-NCR region, Kabir has been living in Kota for the past two years, preparing as a regular classroom student with complete focus on his goal.

His remarkable success is the result of relentless hard work, discipline, consistency, and honest self-analysis at every stage of his preparation.

HOW DID HIS FAMILY SUPPORT HIS SUCCESS?

Kabir’s family’s academic environment played a major role in his success. His father, Mohit Chhillar, is an IIT graduate and currently works in a private company in Delhi-NCR, while his mother, Priyanka Chhillar, is a teacher at a private school.

Kabir had earlier scored 98% marks in Class 10, reflecting his strong academic foundation.

Kabir gives the biggest credit for his success to faculty guidance. He believes that effort made in the right direction leads to success. During his preparation, he focused especially on quality study time and attention span.

After every test, he honestly analysed his own performance and worked most on the areas where he found weaknesses.

Before the exam, he continuously fine-tuned his study strategy, which helped improve his performance steadily.

WHAT STUDY METHODS HELPED HIM SCORE PERFECTLY?

He regularly took mock tests and analysed each paper in depth. This strengthened both his accuracy and time management skills. Kabir believes that conceptual clarity is the most important factor. Instead of rote learning, he focused on understanding every topic and applying it practically.

Breaking studies into small targets, making short notes, and regular revision were key parts of his routine.

HOW DID HE MAINTAIN MENTAL BALANCE DURING PREPARATION?

Kabir also believes that maintaining mental balance along with studies is important. From time to time, he spent time with friends, which helped him stay mentally fresh and improve his focus on studies.

WHAT ARE KABIR’S FUTURE GOALS?

Kabir’s goal is very clear. He wants to pursue BTech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and later dreams of pursuing higher education from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

His success proves that with the right direction, consistent hard work, and self-confidence, any goal can be achieved.
