Google launches Pixel 10a, its most affordable Pixel 10 series phone in India: Price, specs and more

Google has officially launched the much-anticipated Pixel 10a in India. The next-generation affordable Pixel smartphone arrives with a brighter display, a bigger battery and its latest AI-powered features, targeting the mid-range segment. According to Google, the Pixel 10a takes some of the headlining features from its flagship Pixel 10 line-up and packages them into a device that costs under Rs 50,000.

In India, the Pixel 10a will be available at a price of Rs 49,999, which is same as what the Pixel 9a did at launch. The 1oa is available for pre-order starting today and it will go on sale from March 6, 2026. The Pixel 10a comes in a choice of Lavender, Obsidian, Fog and Berry.

As part of the launch offers, Google is offering Rs 3,000 cashback on select HDFC Bank cards, along with up to 24-month no-cost EMI options and a Rs 3,000 exchange bonus. The phone is also part of Google’s Pixel Upgrade Program, which allows users to purchase it on zero-interest monthly instalments starting at Rs 2,083 and upgrade later through an assured buyback model.

Google Pixel 10a specs and features

Coming to what the all-new Google Pixel 10a brings to the table: in terms of hardware, the biggest highlight is the display. The Pixel 10a has a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making it the brightest screen ever on a Pixel a-series device yet. The design has also been refined this year, with slimmer, uniform 4mm bezels and what Google calls a “bumpless” chassis. The phone is IP69 certified for dust and water resistance and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for screen protection.

Battery life is another area where Google has made noticeable improvements, it says. The Pixel 10a packs a 5,100mAh battery which is rated to deliver over 30 hours of usage on a single charge. The phone supports 30W wired charging along with 10W wireless charging, offering more flexibility than many competitors in this bracket. The phone is powered by Google Tensor G4 with Titan M2 security coprocessor.

For photography, the Pixel 10a features a dual rear camera system comprising a 48-megapixel wide sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, it houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

On the software front, the Pixel 10a leans heavily into Google’s AI capabilities. It introduces features like Camera Coach, which offers real-time guidance while taking photos, and Auto Best Take, which can optimise group shots with up to 20 people by automatically selecting more natural facial expressions. Like other Pixel devices, the 10a will receive monthly Pixel Drops and is promised seven years of OS and security updates. It runs Android 16 and it is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chip.

Google is also emphasising sustainability with this model. The Pixel 10a uses a 100 per cent aluminium frame and an 81 per cent recycled plastic back cover, along with recycled metals including cobalt, copper, gold and tungsten.
