India posted 298/7 in 50 overs, powered by Shafali Verma’s brilliant 87 and Deepti Sharma’s crucial 58. In response, South Africa was bowled out for 246 despite Laura Wolvaardt’s century.

Deepti Sharma’s exceptional all-round performance earned her a five-wicket haul (5/39), sealing India’s victory. The win ended India’s world title drought and overcame previous final heartbreaks in 2005 and 2017.

South Africa’s Ayabonga Khaka was their standout bowler with 3/58, but the team fell short in their first World Cup final appearance.
