Canadian fan destroyed tv by running a chainsaw on it after Canada’s loss to USA in the 2026 Winter Olympics finals

A short video shared on Instagram shows a young fan celebrating wildly the moment Jack Hughes scored the overtime winner. In the clip, the kid jumps in excitement and accidentally hits the TV screen while reacting to the goal.

The video quickly spread across social media, with fans reposting it and calling it one of the most emotional reactions of the night. The timing of the celebration, right as the puck hit the net, made the clip even more dramatic for viewers.

Toothless Jack Hughes celebrates gold medal-winning goal in style.

According to bleacherreport, a young guy was seen breaking the tv when Jack Hughes scored the goal. Jack Hughes, who had just lost his two front teeth after taking a high stick from Canada’s Sam Bennett in the third period, came back to score the biggest goal of the night. Team USA defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. It was the United States’ first Olympic men’s hockey gold since 1980.

“My first thought was, I looked down on the ice and saw my teeth,” Jack Hughes said with a smile. “Like, here we go again. I know the last time that happened wasn’t really fun.”

The hit from Sam Bennett led to a four-minute double minor power play at 53:26. Later, Jack Hughes himself was called for high-sticking at 56:37, cutting the advantage short.

“I pictured myself on Barstool being the guy that America hates if Canada scores,” he said. “And Dylan Larkin and Brock Nelson did an unbelievable job on the penalty kill. I was just glad we got out of that.”

Neither team scored in regulation after that. The game moved to 3-on-3 sudden-death overtime. Just 1:40 into the extra period, Zach Werenski sent a clean pass across the ice. Jack Hughes rushed forward and beat Jordan Binnington.

The puck hit the net. Team USA had gold.

Matthew Tkachuk said, “Jack ‘the Superstar’ Hughes. I do not know how many teeth he lost, but it is only fitting. That is a guy who is willing to give it all.”

Quinn Hughes called his younger brother “a gamer” and added, “He just loves the game. For him to do that, I am not surprised.” Head coach Mike Sullivan said, “Jack brought his very best when the stakes were the highest.”

Jack Hughes, though, turned the spotlight away from himself. “It does not matter about the goal,” he said. “It is an unbelievable team win. Connor Hellebuyck stood on his head. We are proud to win for our country.”

Auston Matthews later said, “When Jack scored. That moment is going to stick with me for a very long time.” From a viral fan video to a toothless overtime winner, the night had everything.
