UPSC IFS Mains Result 2025 declared. Check PDF and interview details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Main Examination 2025. Candidates who appeared for the written examination conducted from November 16 to November 23, 2026, can now check their result status on the official website,i.e.,upsc.gov.in.

The result has been published in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the next stage the Personality Test (Interview). Those whose roll numbers appear in the document are eligible to move ahead in the recruitment process.

The Commission has informed that the Personality Test will be conducted at UPSC’s office located at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069.

The detailed schedule for the interview round will be announced separately. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for updates. E-call letters will be made available soon on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.

Candidates can follow these simple steps to check their result:

Go to the official website: upsc.gov.in

Navigate to the ‘What’s New’ section on the homepage

Click on the link titled ‘Written Result (with name): Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2025’

The result PDF will open on the screen

Download and keep a copy for future reference

Important Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates.

Candidates who have qualified for the interview stage must carry original documents to verify their eligibility claims. These include proof of age, educational qualifications, caste or community certificate, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate, PwBD certificate (if applicable), and other required documents such as the TA form.

The official notice specifies that candidates claiming reservation or relaxation under categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen must produce valid certificates issued before the application closing date of the IFS Examination 2025 conducted through the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025, which was February 21, 2025.

UPSC has also clarified that requests for rescheduling the interview date or time will generally not be considered.

Additionally, all shortlisted candidates must update or fill in the required details regarding their educational qualification status, whether they have appeared or passed the qualifying examination and upload supporting documents. Failure to complete this mandatory step will result in cancellation of a candidature, and no further communication will be entertained. In such cases, the Commission will not issue the e-summon letter for the interview.

Candidates are advised to complete all formalities carefully and within the stipulated time to avoid disqualification.
