Nvidia is building an AI Superpark in Bengaluru, 25,000 techies will come together to make AI for the world

Nvidia has announced its partnership with Bharat1 AI Research & Innovation City to set up a large-scale AI Superpark in Bengaluru. The company plans to use this Superpark to bring in around 25,000 researchers and engineers to create AI solutions for worldwide use. This announcement comes at a time when big tech giants like Google and OpenAI announced their plans invest billions and build AI-related infrastructure and developments in India.

Nvidia’s project will begin with the launch of the B1 AI Superpark, a 500,000 square foot campus in Bengaluru that is already built and operational. According to the company, this facility will act as the core of a larger 70-acre AI innovation district, which is expected to scale up to 4 million square feet of commercial R&D space over time. The broader AI City is designed to host more than 25,000 AI researchers and engineers working across startups, product firms, applied research labs and enterprise innovation teams.

The Superpark will function as an end-to-end AI ecosystem offering access to high-performance computing, connections to global enterprise customers and long-term capital. Through its collaboration, Nvidia says it will provide access to its accelerated computing stack, AI software platforms and technical expertise, enabling startups to train, test and deploy advanced AI models at scale.

In addition, startups operating within the Superpark will be eligible for the Nvidia Inception programme, which supports early- and growth-stage companies with technical guidance, infrastructure support and business connections. The programme also links promising startups with venture capital firms through the Inception VC Alliance, and gives them access to Nvidia’s larger network for developers and businesses.

The larger AI City is being described as a digital-physical innovation district, projected to generate nearly one exabyte of 4D data annually for frontier AI research. The infrastructure is said to be designed to support high-density compute workloads, advanced simulations and large-scale model training, effectively turning the campus into a dedicated AI research and development zone rather than just office real estate.

Interestingly, Nvidia’s partnership joins the ongoing spree of investments US-based tech giants have been making in India. At the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 held in New Delhi last week, both Google and OpenAI unveiled major sovereign AI infrastructure plans.

Google announced the “America–India Connect” initiative, a strategic subsea cable network that will link India directly to the US, Singapore and Africa through a new international gateway in Visakhapatnam. The project is part of Google’s broader $15 billion investment commitment aimed at strengthening digital and AI infrastructure across the region.

Meanwhile, OpenAI revealed a partnership with the Tata Group to build what it calls an “AI Factory” infrastructure in India. The plan will begin with 100MW of compute capacity via TCS’s HyperVault and is expected to scale up to 1GW over time. Alongside this, OpenAI is rolling out ChatGPT Enterprise to hundreds of thousands of Tata Group employees and has announced new offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai, signalling a deeper operational presence in the country.
