WhatsApp to soon roll out schedule message feature for iPhone users

WhatsApp is working on a Google Messages-like schedule message feature. As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new schedule message feature which will enable users to compose a message and set a specific date and time for it to be sent automatically. The feature was spotted in the latest iOS beta update (version 26. 7. 10. 72) released via TestFlight. The scheduling message feature can be useful for setting reminders, greetings or other important updates.

WhatsApp schedule message feature: How it will work

As per the WABetaInfo report, users will be able to type a message and then select the exact time and date for delivery. The sender will also be able to view and manage the scheduled message in a dedicated section within the chat info screen. Users will also be able to delete any scheduled message before it is send without notifying the recipient.

This feature is expected to work in both individual chats and group conversations, making it useful for reminders, greetings, or work-related updates.

“With WhatsApp supporting scheduled messages, users will have more control over when their communications are sent. Users won’t have to remember when sending important messages at specific times,” adds the report.

WhatsApp rolls out Group Message History feature

Recently, WhatsApp introduced the Group Message History feature that lets admins and members share recent chat messages with anyone who joins a group. Users can send anywhere from 25 to 100 messages to new members, giving them just enough context to jump into the conversation without drowning in backscroll.

The feature is end-to-end encrypted, keeping things private in line with WhatsApp’s broader messaging standards. No more screenshots, no more awkward copy-paste threads to bring someone up to speed.
