Oppo has launched its latest flagship tablet, the Oppo Pad 5 Pro, in China. The new device debuted alongside a smaller tablet, the Oppo Pad Mini. The Oppo Pad 5 Pro could also arrive in global markets as the OnePlus Pad 4, which has already been teased and appears similar. A similar strategy was seen earlier, with the Oppo Pad 4 Pro launched globally as the OnePlus Pad 3. The Oppo Pad 5 Pro comes in multiple colours and storage configurations and will go on sale from April 24.
Oppo Pad 5 Pro specs and features
The Oppo Pad 5 Pro features a 13.2-inch 3.4K LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 315 ppi pixel density, and a 540Hz touch sampling rate. The screen supports up to 1,000 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. It offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
For optics, the device comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, with support for video recording at up to 4K at 30fps.
The Oppo Pad 5 Pro is backed by a 13,380mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging.
On the software front, it runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and weighs around 672g.
Oppo Pad Mini specs and features
The Oppo Pad Mini features an 8.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,520 x 1,680 pixels, offering up to a 144Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen supports up to 1,600 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, clocked at 3.8GHz, along with an Adreno 829 GPU. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
For optics, the Oppo Pad Mini carries the same camera setup as the Oppo Pad 5 Pro, which is a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.
To keep the light on, the device packs an 8,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging.
On the software front, it runs on the same OS as the Pad 5 Pro, the ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and weighs around 282g.
Oppo Pad 5 Pro, Oppo Pad Mini price and availability
The Oppo Pad 5 Pro base variant starts at CNY 4,299 (around Rs. 59,000) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 512GB models are priced at CNY 4,499 (about Rs. 62,000) and CNY 4,999 (around Rs. 69,000), respectively, while the top-end 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 75,000). It is available in Gold, Brown, and Purple colours, and will go on sale in China starting April 24 via Oppo’s online store.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Pad Mini is priced from CNY 3,699 (around Rs. 51,000) for the base model. The 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and 12GB RAM and 512GB variants are priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 55,000) and CNY 4,499 (around Rs. 62,000), respectively. A Soft Light Edition is also available at an extra CNY 500 (about Rs. 7,000). The tablet comes in Mint Green, Monet Purple, and Space Gray colours, and will be available for purchase from April 30 via Oppo’s China online store.
