AIBE 21 on June 7: BCI issues strict exam day guidelines, registration open till April 30 at allindiabarexamination.com

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 21 will be conducted on June 7, 2026. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released detailed guidelines for candidates appearing in the examination. The council has made it clear that strict rules will be followed at exam centres. Candidates must carry a printed admit card and a valid photo identity proof.

Electronic devices are completely banned inside the exam hall. The examination will be held in offline mode using OMR sheets. Law graduates must qualify AIBE to receive the Certificate of Practice, which allows them to practise law in Indian courts. Candidates are advised to follow all instructions carefully to avoid disqualification.

How to register online for AIBE 21

The registration window for AIBE 21 is open and candidates can apply online till April 30, 2026.

To register, candidates must visit the official AIBE website and complete the online application form. They need to provide personal details, enrolment information, educational qualifications and upload the required documents. After filling in all details, candidates must pay the prescribed examination fee online.

After successful submission, candidates should download and keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference. Applications submitted after April 30 will not be accepted.

Exam date, timings and entry rules

AIBE 21 will be held on June 7, 2026, in offline mode across various centres. Candidates must report to their allotted centre as per the time mentioned on the admit card. Entry will be closed before the exam begins. Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances.

It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID or driving licence. Candidates who fail to produce these documents will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Items allowed and banned inside exam hall

BCI has specified the list of permitted and prohibited items. Candidates are allowed to carry Bare Acts without notes or written comments. Any study material, written notes or printed material is not allowed inside the exam hall.

Answers must be marked only with a blue or black ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed.

Electronic items such as mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, earphones or any communication device are strictly banned. Candidates found violating these rules may face strict action.

PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities will be given extra time as per rules. Scribe facility will be provided only after submission of required documents.
