Financial Performance Overview

According to regulatory filings accessed through market intelligence firm Tofler, Microsoft India reported a 38.66% year-on-year increase in profit, reaching ₹1,245.18 crore for FY2025. This marks significant growth from the ₹898 crore profit recorded in FY24.

The company’s revenue from operations saw robust growth of 27.44%, climbing to ₹28,754.77 crore from ₹22,561.91 crore in the previous fiscal year. Total revenue reached ₹29,303 crore, representing a 28% increase.

Expense Analysis

Tofler’s analysis revealed that Microsoft India’s total expenses for FY25 stood at ₹27,624 crore. The most substantial expense component was cost royalty, which increased by approximately 29% year-on-year to ₹20,294.13 crore from ₹15,738.1 crore in FY24.

Employee costs also saw a notable rise, increasing by 14.5% to ₹1,567.9 crore during the review period from ₹1,368.6 crore in the previous fiscal year.

The PTI report noted that an email query sent to Microsoft India regarding its financial performance did not receive a response.
