Pakistan PM Blames India for Islamabad Court Blast That Killed 12

Pakistan PM Accuses India of Sponsoring Terror Attacks

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directly accused India of orchestrating twin terror attacks, including a suicide blast in Islamabad that killed 12 people outside a courthouse.

Key Developments

  • Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif blames “India-sponsored terrorist proxies” for Islamabad court blast
  • Attack killed 12 people near Islamabad District Judicial Complex
  • TTP claimed responsibility, but Pakistan insists on Indian involvement
  • Defence Minister Khawaja Asif says Pakistan is “in a state of war”

Direct Allegations Against India

Prime Minister Sharif made the allegations on Tuesday, claiming “Indian-sponsored terrorist proxies” were responsible for both the Islamabad courthouse bombing and Monday’s attack on a cadet college in Wana, near the Afghanistan border.

“These attacks are a continuation of India’s state-sponsored terrorism aimed at destabilising Pakistan,” Sharif was quoted as saying by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

Expanding the Accusations

Sharif asserted that while “Indian-backed militants” struck in Islamabad, the same network operating from Afghan territory attacked innocent children in Wana. He stated, “No condemnation is enough for these attacks being carried out from Afghan soil under Indian patronage.”

The accusations come despite the terror group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claiming responsibility for the blasts. India has not yet responded to the allegations.

Pakistan’s Security Alert

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif described the country as being “in a state of war,” calling the suicide bombing near the Islamabad District Judicial Complex a “wake-up call” for Pakistan.
