Key Development
Israel has completed the initial phase of its troop withdrawal from Gaza, marking the start of a crucial 72-hour window for hostage release, according to a senior US official.
Official Confirmation
The White House confirmed on Friday that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully concluded the first stage of their pullback from Gaza. This development triggers the agreed-upon three-day period for the release of hostages held in the region.
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated on social media platform X: “The US military’s Central Command has confirmed that the Israeli Defense Forces completed the first phase withdrawal to the yellow line at 12PM local time. The 72 hour period to release the hostages has begun.”
