Xiaomi Pad 8 launched in India with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, check details

When it comes to premium Android tablets, Xiaomi has built a reputation for offering high-end performance without the typical flagship price tag. In 2025, we liked what the Xiaomi Pad 7 had to offer. Now expanding the lineup further, Xiaomi has launched its successor, the Xiaomi Pad 8, with several upgrades, including the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and Xiaomi HyperOS 3, 11-inch high-resolution display, upgraded memory and storage, and support for accessories such as a stylus and keyboard.

The new Xiaomi Pad is aimed at users who want a portable device for work, study, and everyday entertainment, without crossing the Rs 50,000 price tag.

Xiaomi Pad 8 price and availability

The new Xiaomi Pad 8 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 33,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs 36,999, while the 12GB + 256GB Nano Texture variant costs Rs 38,999.

Xiaomi is also offering a Creator’s Edition with the Focus Pen Pro bundled in the box, priced at Rs 41,999 for the standard display and Rs 43,999 for the Nano Texture version.

As part of the launch offer, Xiaomi is also offering an instant discount of Rs 3,000 on select bank cards, bringing the effective starting price down to Rs 30,999. The tablet will go on sale from March 17 at 12 PM through Amazon, Xiaomi’s official website, and retail partners.

Xiaomi Pad 8 specs and features

The Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with an 11-inch 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 800 nits. The screen supports Dolby Vision, while the tablet also includes Dolby Atmos audio support for media playback.

Similar to the Xiaomi Pad 7, the new Pad 8 also comes in two display options, standard glossy panel and a nano-texture version designed to reduce reflections and glare.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform, paired with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi says the processor offers around 32 percent improvement in CPU performance and over 50 percent improvement in GPU performance compared to earlier models.

The tablet runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which brings a redesigned interface with updated widgets, lock screens, and system animations.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 packs a 9,200mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging, while a 67W charger is included in the box. Xiaomi says the tablet will receive four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates, which should help extend its usable life.

For users who prefer handwriting or drawing, the tablet supports the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro, which offers over 16,000 pressure levels and sub-1ms latency. The stylus also supports rotation detection for sketching and annotation.

The Pad 8 can also be paired with the Xiaomi Pad Keyboard and Focus Keyboard, turning the tablet into a laptop-style setup for typing and productivity tasks.

Do note that accessories including the Pad 8 cover, keyboard, and stylus will be available to purchase separately.
