Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra wins Best in Show at MWC 2026

Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S26 Ultra has won Best in Show at the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO Awards) during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona. Organized annually by the GSMA, the GLOMO Awards celebrate outstanding innovations in the mobile industry. The Best in Show category is considered one of the highest honours, judged by over 200 independent analysts, journalists, and industry veterans.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra was recognized for its seamless integration of advanced hardware and One UI 8.5 software, powered by Galaxy AI. The device introduces adaptive, context-aware intelligence designed to simplify everyday tasks while prioritizing security and privacy.

A standout innovation is the world’s first built-in Privacy Display, offering users a more secure yet vibrant viewing experience. Inside, a customized chipset drives faster Galaxy AI, setting new benchmarks for mobile performance.

Shaun Collins, Chair of the Judges for MWC Best in Show 2026, said: “The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra stood out for pushing the boundaries of mobile technology while delivering meaningful, real-world impact.

In particular, its privacy innovation addresses one of the most important needs of today’s digital lifestyle — security, personal space and trust. ”

Stephanie Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile Marketing Center at Samsung MX Business, said: “We are honored that the Galaxy S26 Ultra has been recognized as ‘Best in Show’ at this year’s GLOMO Awards. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is an agentic AI phone that signifies Samsung’s ongoing commitment to push our industry forward.”

Among more than 3,000 exhibitors at MWC, the judging panel highlighted the Galaxy S26 Ultra as a product that makes forward-looking innovation available today, rather than just showcasing future concepts.
