Nothing has officially begun the rollout of Nothing OS 4.0, its latest Android 16-based skin, for the Nothing Phone 2, Phone 2a, and the newly added Phone 2a Plus. The update, which started on November 28, delivers a significant visual and functional overhaul.

The update introduces a host of new features aimed at improving the user experience. You can now hide apps directly from the home screen, and the app drawer has been refined for smoother navigation. A redesigned Nothing app icon contributes to the fresh visual identity.

Camera and Creative Upgrades

The camera system gets a substantial boost with new creative tools. Users gain access to intensity adjustments, stretch-style filters, and longer Motion Photo recordings that include audio. For content creators, new Nothing-branded watermarks and artistic frames have been added.

The camera interface itself has been completely revamped with an updated UI and improved interactions for a more intuitive shooting experience.

System-Wide Refinements

Beyond the camera, the update enhances core system elements. The Glyph interface lights, search bar functionality, and app drawer behavior all receive subtle yet noticeable improvements, creating a more polished overall experience.
