Nothing CEO Carl Pei confirms four colours for Phone 4a: Here’s what he said

Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the upcoming Nothing Phone (4a) will be available in four colour options. Ahead of the phone’s global debut on March 5, the chief executive of the London-based consumer tech brand took to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) to announce that Nothing Phone (4a) will be available in White, Black, Pink and Blue colours. The smartphone, which is set to launch in just two days, was showcased at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, where all four finishes were displayed to attendees for the first time.

In his X post, Pei wrote,

The Phone (4a) marks Nothing’s new mid-range lineup, with a ‘Pro’ model also expected to join the series. With the introduction of Pink and Blue alongside the brand’s familiar White and Black options, the company appears to be taking a more varied approach to design, a shift from its largely monochrome portfolio, which has so far leaned heavily on black-and-white finishes, with limited colour experimentation.

Nothing Phone 4a price, availability and key specs

Nothing has announced an exclusive first drop of the Nothing Phone (4a) at the recently opened Nothing Store Bengaluru on March 7 at 6 pm. This will be the first public retail sale of the Phone (4a) before it becomes available in other markets. The company will also offer customers launch benefits.

The first 100 customers will receive an engraved edition of the Phone (4a) along with a complimentary Nothing Ear (a). The first 100 buyers will also be able to purchase the CMF Buds 2 Plus for Rs 999.

On specifications, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (4a) will feature a periscope camera, marking its introduction in the A-series lineup. Previously, periscope cameras were available on the Pro or flagship models. The addition is expected to support improved zoom and portrait photography.

The company has also confirmed that a Snapdragon chipset will power the Phone (4a), likely the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. This would be an upgrade over the Phone (3a)’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Expected specifications include a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup with 50MP, 50MP, and 8MP sensors. The battery capacity is rumoured to increase to 5,400 mAh, up from 5,000 mAh on the Phone (3a).

The Nothing Phone (4a) is also expected to be priced higher than its predecessor. It may start at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, compared to the Phone (3a), which launched at Rs 24,999. The Phone (4a) Pro, which is expected to launch on the same day, is tipped to start at around Rs 40,000.

Full details will be clear at launch. Based on the information available so far, the Phone (4a) appears positioned in the mid-range segment with a focus on design, camera hardware and updated internals.
