Vin Diesel applauds Priyanka Chopra at ‘The Bluff,’ likens her to Nelson Mandela: ‘Trying to make this world a better place’

At the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Bluff’, Vin Diesel surprised reporters with glowing praise for Priyanka Chopra Jonas and an unexpected comparison to Nelson Mandela. The Hollywood star spoke on the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre, calling Chopra “an incredible talent” and saying she is working to make the world better. The moment quickly became the highlight of the night as cameras rolled and fans cheered outside the historic venue.

As reported by Hindustan Times, Diesel spoke directly to the press about his longtime friend and co-star. He said, “First of all, I am going to tell you a little secret. She is so amazing in this movie, and she is such an incredible talent… and she was so nice to my kids in Europe when they had a screening… We share birthdays, and the only other person I want you to think about is the late Nelson Mandela. So her, Nelson Mandela and I, we are all trying to make this world a better place. ”

Diesel also recalled how warmly Chopra treated his children during a European screening. He attended the premiere with his daughter, Hania Riley Sinclair, and greeted fans and photographers before entering for the screening.

The premiere drew a strong turnout. Priyanka arrived with her husband, Nick Jonas. Her co-stars Karl Urban, Safia Oakley Green, Vedanten Naidoo, and Temuera Morrison joined her on the carpet. Director Frank E. Flowers and producer Anthony Russo attended with Russo’s wife, Ann. Sharon Stone also showed support for the film at the Los Angeles event.

About ‘The Bluff’

Directed by Frank E. Flowers and co-written with Joe Ballarini, ‘The Bluff’ is a period action adventure set in the late nineteenth-century Caribbean. Chopra plays Ercell Bloody Mary Bodden, a former pirate who left violence behind to live quietly with her family. When her old crew, led by Captain Connor, played by Karl Urban, returns seeking revenge, she must fight again to protect the people she loves. The film premieres on Prime Video on February 25.
