The Kerala Story 2 box office Day 2: Film crosses Rs 5 crore after decent Saturday

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond began its theatrical run on February 27 after the Kerala High Court allowed its release. Although the film started with late evening shows on Day 1, it picked up pace on the second day with a noticeable jump in box office collections.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film witnessed growth in numbers at the box office as compared to its first-day collection. According to trade website Sacnilk report, it collected Rs 0.75 crore nett on Day 1. Meanwhile, the film has raked in Rs 4.65 crore nett at the box office on its Day 2 in theatres. With that, the total earnings of the film stand at Rs 5.40 crore.

As per the same report, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond reportedly witnessed an overall 12.20 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The film claims that young Hindu women are allegedly trapped in interfaith marriages, where they later face abuse and are forced to convert. The film sparked debate and controversy soon after its trailer was released.

The trailer showcases the journeys of three Hindu women from different parts of the country who decide to marry Muslim men against their families’ objections.

Backed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, The Kerala Story 2 stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Gahlawat, and Arjan Singh Aujla in key roles. The film released in theatres on February 27, 2026.
