Jessy too, was in Dubai when I was working there. It was through online chatting we became close,” the actor said, while speaking with the same news agency. Vijay shared that they became close even before seeing each other in person.
As they grew closer, they became each other’s support system. Interestingly, they did not meet in person at the beginning of their relationship. Later, when they decided to get married, convincing their families wasn’t easy. At first, their parents were not happy with the match. There were concerns and doubts. But the couple stayed firm. With time, their families agreed.
Meeting for the first time at engagement
Here comes the surprising part. Vijay Sethupathi and Jessy saw each other in person for the very first time on their engagement day. They met directly at their engagement ceremony. Soon after, they got married in 2003. They have a son named Surya and a daughter named Shreeja.
