JEE Mains 2026 correction window to open today: Check details here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) Main 2026 session 2 today, February 27, 2026. The window will remain active till February 28, 2026, 11:50 PM. Aspirants who wish to make corrections need to move to the official website, jeemain. nta. nic. in. Students are advised to carefully review their application details to avoid errors that could affect exam eligibility or exam centre allotment.

JEE Mains correction window 2026: Who can use it?

The correction facility is open for two categories of candidates:

Candidates who applied only for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 can use the correction portal to update selected details.

Candidates who:

  • Appeared in JEE Main 2026 Session 1

  • Re-registered for Session 2

  • Both groups can make corrections, but the editable fields vary based on registration type.

JEE Mains correction window 2026: Who is eligible to use it?

The correctional facility is available to two types of candidates:

The eligible candidates who have applied to JEE Main 2026 Session 2 and wished to make changes to the selected information may use the correction portal.

Candidates who:

  • Appeared in JEE Main 2026 Session 1

  • Re-registered for Session 2

  • The two groups are able to correct and the editable fields differ depending on type of registration.

JEE Mains correction window 2026: What can be edited by the existing candidates?

Current candidates refer to those who registered initially in Session 1 (October 31- November 27, 2025) and reregistered in Session 2 (February 1- February 25, 2026).

These candidates will be able to rectify the following details:

  • Course or paper selection

  • Mode or medium of question paper.

  • State code of eligibility

  • Cities of choice (where they may be examined).

Academic information at class 10 and 12.

  • Gender and category data.

  • Details of identity (in case of no Aadhaar at the time of registration)

  • Information relating to the payment of fees, where relevant.

The applicants might be required to pay a fee of correction, depending on the nature of corrections undertaken.

What happens after the correction window closes?

Once the correction facility ends, NTA will move to the next stage of exam preparation. The agency will release:

  • Advance city intimation slip

  • JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card

These documents will carry important information such as:

  • Exam date

  • Shift timing

  • Exam centre and city allocation

Candidates must download and verify these documents carefully.

Experts and exam authorities have repeatedly stressed that students must correct their forms cautiously. After February 28, no further opportunity will be given to modify application details. Even minor mistakes can create problems during admit card verification or exam centre entry.

Students are advised to log in early, check every detail twice, and complete corrections before the portal traffic increases near the deadline.
