Squash: CCI Brabourne Stadium to host the Indian Open 2026 from March 18 to 22

The iconic CCI Brabourne Stadium will host the second edition of the Indian Open, a PSA Copper event, from March 18 to 22, 2026, with tickets for the tournament now live.

Recognised by the Professional Squash Association, the Indian Open has rapidly established itself on the international calendar. Its 2025 edition was named among the Top 10 Iconic PSA Events of the year, underlining the tournament’s growing stature and organisational standards.

The 2026 edition will be headlined by defending women’s champion Anahat Singh, who returns to lead a strong Indian contingent. The home challenge will feature some of the country’s top professionals, including Ramit Tandon, Abhay Singh, Veer Chotrani, Velavan Senthilkumar and Joshna Chinappa.

They will be joined by international contenders such as Yahya Elnawasany, Hana Moataz and Mazen Hesham, promising a fiercely competitive week of world-class squash in Mumbai.

In a significant milestone, the 2026 tournament will carry a prize purse of USD 44,500 each for both the men’s and women’s events, marking the first time an Indian squash tournament has offered equal prize money at this level. As a PSA Copper event, the competition continues to enhance its standing on the professional circuit.

Cyrus Poncha, Secretary General of the Squash Rackets Federation of India, said the event has become an important platform for domestic players.

“The Indian Open has quickly become a key stop on the PSA calendar, giving Indian players exposure to world-class competition while raising the profile of squash nationally. For 2026, we’re excited to continue growing the tournament’s international significance and see fans experience high-level matches live, supporting the sport’s long-term development in India,” Poncha said.

The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will be staged on a fully glass court, transforming the venue into an arena-style setting designed to bring fans closer to the action.

With a bigger stage, equal prize money and a line-up blending leading Indian names with top international talent, the 2026 Indian Open is poised to cement further India’s growing presence on the global squash map.
