Do Deewane Seher Mein box office Day 3: Mrunal Thakur’s film stays ahead of Assi

Do Deewane Seher Mein wrapped up its opening weekend on a decent note. The film, starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi, received a mild response at the box office, collecting around Rs 4 crore nett in its first three days.

The Ravi Udyawar directorial opened to mixed reviews. However, much like Assi, which released on the same day, it failed to show significant traction at the ticket window.

  • Friday: Rs 1.25 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 1.5 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 1.42 crore
  • Total: Rs 4.17 crore

Do Deewane Seher Mein is essentially a romantic drama about two individuals who, on paper, seem incompatible. The film explores themes of social acceptance, class differences, and the broader idea of ‘fitting in’.

It is crucial for the film to remain steady on its first Monday; otherwise, it risks a sharp weekday drop. Both Mrunal and Siddhant have been awaiting a strong theatrical run, making the weekday performance particularly important.

The film is also facing competition from O’ Romeo. The Shahid Kapoor-starrer enjoyed a solid second weekend and has already crossed the Rs 50 crore nett mark in India.

Backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Do Deewane Seher Mein also features Sandeepa Dhar, Ila Arun and Ayesha Raza in key roles.
