Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar with Bobby Deol set for theatrical release. Check out date

The release date of the upcoming film, Bandar, is out. The film headlined by Bobby Deol, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 22, 2026. The film is directed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee.

Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and backed by Zee Studios, Bandar marks another collaboration between Kashyap and Sharma, who have previously worked on projects noted for their crime and socio-political themes.

Sharing the new poster along with the release date, the makers wrote, “See you at the movies on 22nd May 2026.”

The film premiered at the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival in 2025, where it was screened in the Special Presentation category. The screening marked its first major international showcase ahead of its commercial release.

The ensemble cast includes Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen and Nagesh Bhosle in key roles.

Further details about the film’s plot have not yet been disclosed. The makers confirmed that Bandar will open in cinemas globally on May 22, 2026.
