Nissan Gravite vs Renault Triber: Features, prices, engine compared

Nissan India finally launched the new Nissan Gravite MPV in the Indian market. Based on the facelifted Renault Triber, it gets a few Nissan-specific styling changes and is aimed at buyers who want an affordable, practical three-row option. Interested customers can book the new Gravite online or at their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. Nissan Gravite vs Renault Triber: Variants, price

The new Nissan Gravite is offered in five variants – Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and launch edition, priced between Rs 5.65 lakh and Rs 8.93 lakh (ex-showroom). The Triber too is offered in four variants – Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion priced between 5.76 lakh and Rs 8.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Nissan Gravite is offered in five variants, including a launch edition, while the Renault Triber comes in four variants. The Nissan Gravite is priced Rs 11,000 lower than the Triber at the entry level, but Rs 33,000 higher at the top end.

Nissan Gravite vs Renault Triber: Warranty, colour options

The new Nissan Gravite will be offered with a standard warranty of 3 years/1 lakh kms, extendable up to a segment-best 10 years or 2 lakh kms. The first 5,000 customers will also qualify for zero service costs for the first five years.

The Triber on the other hand gets 3 years/1 lakh kms, extendable upto 7 years or 1. 5 lakh kms. Nissan is also offering finance options starting at 5. 55% ROI through Nissan Finance.

The Renault Triber is offered in six colour options – Amber Terracotta, Shadow Grey, Ice Cool White, Zanskar Blue, Moonlight silver and Stealth Black. Gravite will be available in 5 color options, Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Storm White, Metallic Grey.

Both the Triber and the Gravite are built on the same CMF-A+ platform and share identical core dimensions, with only minor variations in overall length due to differences in bumper design. The Triber measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width, 1,643 mm in height and has a 2,636 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance stands at 182 mm and gets 15-inch styled wheels.

The Nissan Gravite measures 3987 mm in length, 1734 mm in width, 1644 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2636 mm.

Both compact MPVs are powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder NA petrol engine that puts out 72hp of power and 96 Nm of torque. It’s offered with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox and there’s also CNG retrofitment offered on the Triber and Gravite MT variants, along with a 3-year warranty.

Inside, the Gravite and Triber share the same layout with minor tweaks, with differences limited to the colour scheme and select trim elements. Both are offered in 5+2 seating configuration and features in both models include LED DRLs, projector headlights, fog lamps, dual-tone wheel covers, auto-fold ORVMs, a driver’s seat armrest, driver’s seat height adjust, a cooled lower glove box, push button start, two tweeters, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a rear camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, a third-row 12V socket, auto headlights with follow me home function, auto wipers, cruise control, a rear defogger, and front parking sensors.

The Nissan Gravite additionally gets a launch edition trim which gets features such as a JBL sound system, a dual-channel dashcam, ambient lighting, a cabin air purifier, and more.

On the safety front, both cars get six airbags as standard, along with TPMS, electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, ABS and hill start assist.
