Wireless Connectivity Expands
The active wireless subscriber count stood at 1,094.28 million during peak visiting location register (VLR) dates. Both urban and rural areas showed positive growth trends, with rural wireless subscriptions increasing from 534.85 million to 536.80 million during October.
Wireline Segment Shows Steady Growth
Wireline connections increased from 46.61 million to 46.75 million, recording a 0.30% monthly growth rate. The overall wireline tele-density improved slightly from 3.287% to 3.294%.
Urban areas maintained significantly higher wireline penetration at 8.16% compared to rural areas at 0.55%. Public sector units including BSNL, MTNL, and APSFL collectively held 20.22% of the wireline market share.
