India-UAE Trade Soars Past $100 Billion as CEPA Pact Progresses

India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced a massive surge in bilateral trade, which crossed $100.06 billion in 2024-25, during the third Joint Committee meeting of their landmark Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Key Meeting Outcomes

The high-level talks, held on Thursday, were co-chaired by Commerce Department Additional Secretary Ajay Bhadoo and UAE’s Assistant Undersecretary for International Trade Affairs, Juma Al Kait.

Officials confirmed the meeting served to:

• Review the overall implementation of the CEPA.
• Assess the significant progress achieved since the agreement came into force.
• Reaffirm plans to expand cooperation across key sectors, building on the sharp upswing in trade.

Both sides expressed strong commitment to deepening the economic partnership, with the $100 billion trade milestone marking a new era in India-UAE relations.
