Elon Musk’s Tesla has launched its first all-in-one experience centre in India at Orchid Business Park, Gurugram. This marks a significant expansion beyond the display-only centres previously operating in Mumbai and Delhi.
Complete Tesla Experience in One Location
The new Gurugram facility represents Tesla’s most comprehensive Indian presence yet. Unlike earlier centres that only showcased vehicles, this centre provides retail, after-sales service, delivery, and charging facilities from a single location.
Located in Sector 48, Gurugram, the centre will be headed by Sharad Agarwal, former Head of Lamborghini India. Customers can explore latest EV technologies, test drive Model Y vehicles, use V4 Superchargers, and access full after-sales support.
Optimus Gen 2 Robot on Display
Tesla has placed its Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot at the facility, giving visitors a glimpse of cutting-edge technology. First introduced in 2023, the robot uses Tesla-designed actuators and sensors to learn and adapt to its environment.
Leadership Vision for Indian Market
Sharad Agarwal stated: “Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are opening our first all-in-one Tesla Center in Gurugram, combining experience center, after sales service, delivery and charging station in one place.”
He added: “By building charging infrastructure that fits people’s daily lives, we are making electric driving convenient for everyone in India. The network will expand rapidly for a seamless EV experience. Our direct business model has sparked huge excitement for electric mobility, driving strong adoption and lasting confidence in sustainable transport across India.”
Tesla’s Growing Indian Presence
The world’s largest EV maker began Indian operations in July this year. Tesla currently offers two Model Y variants priced at ₹59.89 lakh and ₹67.89 lakh respectively. Both models are imported from China and face 70% import duty.
With the Gurugram centre launch, Tesla now operates four charging stations across India equipped with 16 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers. The company’s Supercharging technology enables Model Y to charge up to 275 km in just 15 minutes.
