Apple Challenges CCI Penalty Framework in Delhi High Court
Apple has filed a legal petition with the Delhi High Court, contesting India’s antitrust regulations and the penalty structure used by the Competition Commission of India (CCI), which calculates fines based on a company’s global revenue.
Key Details of the Case
The case was officially listed on Tuesday, 25 November 2025. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela is scheduled to hear the matter.
Apple’s legal move directly questions the CCI’s authority to levy penalties as a percentage of a firm’s worldwide turnover, a significant point of contention for multinational corporations operating in India.
