HCLTech and NVIDIA Launch Innovation Lab for Physical AI

HCLTech and NVIDIA Launch Innovation Lab for Physical AI and Robotics

HCLTech has partnered with NVIDIA to establish a new innovation lab in Santa Clara, California, focused on helping global enterprises develop and scale applications for physical AI and cognitive robotics.

Key Takeaways

  • HCLTech and NVIDIA open a joint innovation lab in Santa Clara.
  • The facility will help G2000 companies experiment with and scale physical AI initiatives.
  • The lab integrates NVIDIA’s full technology stack with HCLTech’s suite of AI solutions.

Bridging the Simulation-to-Reality Gap

The new lab is integrated with HCLTech’s global AI Lab network. It combines NVIDIA’s core platforms—including NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Metropolis, NVIDIA Issac Sim, NVIDIA Jetson, and NVIDIA Holoscan—with HCLTech’s physical AI solutions like VisionX, Kinetic AI, IEdgeX, and SmartTwin.

This collaboration aims to help large enterprises test and implement AI-driven automation and robotics projects to enhance their competitiveness.

“Generative physical AI is set to revolutionize industrial automation, but bridging the gap from digital simulation to real-world deployment remains a critical challenge,” said Deepu Talla, VP of Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA. “HCLTech’s innovation lab will help enterprises develop, test and validate the complex autonomous systems needed to turn AI ambitions into operational reality.”

What Are HCLTech’s Physical AI Solutions?

HCLTech’s physical AI solutions integrate robotics, autonomous systems, and intelligent edge technologies with AI, simulation, and digital twins. The goal is to help businesses improve productivity, operational resilience, and sustainability in physical environments.

The company already serves several G2000 clients in this domain, including a major port operator.

“By combining HCLTech’s global AI Engineering capabilities with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge platforms, this new collaboration marks a pivotal step in strengthening our synergy in the Physical AI space. It empowers enterprises to reimagine physical operations, driving breakthroughs in robotics, automation, safety and operational intelligence, reinforcing our commitment to scaling AI-led transformation across industries and further deepening our strategic collaboration with NVIDIA,” said Vijay Guntur, CTO and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech.
