Sela Invests $15M in India AI Expansion with Google Cloud Partnership

Key Takeaways

  • Sela announces $15 million investment in India over five years
  • Plan includes AI innovation centers, cloud services, and local partnerships
  • Expected to create hundreds of high-skilled jobs in cloud and AI sectors

Global cloud consulting firm Sela has partnered with Google Cloud to host AI Advantage 2025, a CxO conclave in Mumbai, while committing $15 million to expand its Indian operations. The five-year investment strategy focuses on building local cloud services, establishing AI innovation centers, and forming partnerships with Indian businesses, startups, and software vendors.

Strategic Expansion in India

Sela is strengthening its commitment to India’s growing digital economy by establishing the country as a key hub for global cloud services, innovation, and talent development. This expansion will create hundreds of high-skilled positions in cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data analytics over the coming years.

The company will work closely with Indian ISVs and startups to develop next-generation cloud and AI solutions for both domestic and international markets, positioning India alongside Sela’s existing centers in Israel and the United States.

Leadership Vision

“India represents the perfect blend of scale, skill, and speed. Our vision is to build in India, for the world — blending Israeli innovation with Indian execution excellence to accelerate global cloud transformation,” said Mr. Ron Sprinzak, CEO of Sela.

He emphasized that this investment reaffirms Sela’s long-term commitment to India as a strategic innovation and delivery hub, noting immense potential in India’s cloud and AI ecosystem.

Three-Pronged Expansion Strategy

Mr. Rishi Ranjan, General Manager and India Head at Sela, outlined the company’s three main focus areas for Indian expansion:

  • Partnerships: Building stronger ties with major technology companies to create valuable cloud solutions
  • Delivery Excellence: Establishing robust delivery hubs in India, Israel, and the U.S. for efficient scaling
  • Innovation: Investing in automation, AI-driven operations, and proprietary platforms to enhance cloud performance

Israel-India Technology Collaboration

The investment demonstrates strong technological collaboration between Israel and India. Sela is leveraging Israel’s expertise in cloud research, cybersecurity, and startups within its Indian operations. The company is forming specialized teams combining Israeli cloud architects with Indian delivery professionals to accelerate development in AI, automation, and data analytics.

This collaborative approach is already delivering faster innovation, improved cloud reliability, and enhanced services for Sela’s global customer base.

Economic and Social Impact

Sela’s investment is expected to generate significant positive impact on India’s economy through high-value job creation, local talent development in cloud and AI technologies, and partnerships with Indian tech firms. The company will also support government innovation initiatives aligned with India’s Digital Economy objectives.

“There is great potential in India’s cloud and AI sectors. By developing local talent and working with startups and businesses, we aim to help India become a global tech leader,” noted Mr. Sprinzak.

New AI-Powered Services

Sela plans to introduce several AI-driven platforms and services to enhance cloud operations and accelerate digital transformation:

  • Sela CloudOps AI Platform: For monitoring, cost optimization, and compliance management
  • Data & AI Modernization Services: Helping businesses leverage analytics and AI for better returns
  • Sela GenAI Agentic Solutions: Ready-to-use generative AI applications for various business needs

Ecosystem Development

The company will strengthen its market presence through collaborations with local system integrators, government innovation programs, and cloud marketplaces. Sela’s strategy focuses on building an ecosystem that enables Indian startups and software vendors to access global markets via partnerships with major cloud providers.

This ecosystem approach aims to enhance India’s role in global cloud innovation while supporting international growth for Indian technology partners.

Sela views this investment as a long-term commitment to growth and innovation, with India serving as a crucial component of its global network supporting customers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.

“Sela is combining Israeli innovation, Indian scale, and global reach to deliver smarter and faster cloud transformation. Our investment in India is an investment in the future of cloud innovation worldwide,” concluded Mr. Sprinzak.
