Government Response and Investigation

The Cabinet expressed profound grief over the loss of lives and adopted a resolution terming it an act perpetrated by “anti-national forces.” The government has directed that the investigation be pursued with “utmost urgency and professionalism” to identify all involved parties.

“The Cabinet directs that the investigation into the incident be pursued with the utmost urgency and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their collaborators, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay,” the government stated.

The Union Home Ministry has already handed over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has made multiple arrests and seized raw materials used for manufacturing explosives. Searches are ongoing across India in connection with the blast.

Condemnation and Support

The Cabinet paid tribute to victims of what it called a “senseless act of violence” and conveyed heartfelt condolences to bereaved families. Medical personnel and emergency responders were praised for their prompt efforts in providing care to the injured.

“The Cabinet unequivocally condemns this dastardly and cowardly act that has led to the loss of innocent lives,” the resolution stated.

The government reiterated India’s unwavering commitment to a policy of zero tolerance toward terrorism in all its forms, with the situation being closely monitored at the highest levels.
