About the World Cooperative Monitor

The ranking comes from the World Cooperative Monitor (WCM), published annually by the International Cooperative Alliance in partnership with European research institute Euricse. The list evaluates the world’s 300 largest cooperatives based on two key parameters:

  • Annual turnover
  • Turnover compared to GDP per capita

The monitor aims to highlight cooperatives’ significant economic contributions to their national economies.
