A passenger aboard the train reported to Sky News that a man moved through the carriage warning others, “They’ve got a knife, I’ve been stabbed.” The anonymous witness described the individual as “extremely bloodied” and said he collapsed to the floor by the time the train came to a stop, being taken away by ambulance shortly after.
Other witnesses reported seeing injured people sprinting through carriages to escape an assailant armed with a knife. Armed police were later seen aiming their weapons at a man holding a large blade on the platform. The suspect was subsequently subdued with a taser and restrained.
