- October 20 (Monday) – Diwali/Naraka Chaturdasi holiday in 25 states including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Delhi, UP, and Kerala
- October 21 (Tuesday) – Diwali (Deepavali) holiday in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Rajasthan

Stock Market Schedule

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will conduct a special one-hour Muhurat Trading session from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM on October 21 for the auspicious beginning of the new financial year.
“The symbolic trading session will be held between 1:45 pm and 2:45 pm,” the stock exchanges said in separate circulars.
Last year, the Muhurat trading session was held from 6 PM to 7 PM, indicating the timing varies annually based on auspicious muhurat calculations.
