LG Essential Series: New Appliances for Indian Homes from ₹18,000

LG Launches Essential Series: Appliances Built for Indian Homes

LG Electronics India has unveiled its Essential Series, a new range of home appliances specifically engineered for Indian households. Starting at ₹18,000, this marks the company’s first major product launch since its public listing, with nationwide availability from November 2025.

Key Takeaways

  • Four new appliances designed for Indian conditions
  • Starting price of ₹18,000
  • Nationwide rollout from November 2025
  • Developed after consulting 1,200 Indian families

Product Lineup & Localized Features

The Essential Series includes a double-door refrigerator, fully automatic top-load washing machine, room air conditioner, and convertible oven. Each product addresses common Indian household challenges like low water pressure, high humidity, and energy costs.

“This series brings together premium design and everyday reliability,” said Hong Ju Jeon, president of LG Electronics India.

India-First Design Philosophy

LG adopted “Made in India” and “Made for India” approaches after extensive research involving over 1,200 families across the country. The refrigerator features 20% larger vegetable storage for bulk shopping common in vegetarian households. The washing machine includes a dust-resistant ProShield Motor and IPX4 water-resistant controls suitable for humid conditions.

Energy Efficiency & Smart Cooking

The air conditioner’s Energy Manager+ with “You decide your bill” function directly addresses electricity cost concerns. The convertible oven comes with Auto Cook menus for Indian staples like ghee, paneer, and dal, plus air fry and convection capabilities.

The series operates under the campaign “Har Ghar Appliances, Har Ghar Happiness,” aiming to make quality appliances accessible to millions of Indian families.

Products will be available at authorized LG stores, multi-brand outlets, and e-commerce platforms. Note that pricing excludes installation, taxes, and service charges.
